The Need: 1,000,000 Bibles
God is on the move putting Bibles into the hands of Africans today!
- Unfortunately, the cost of a Bible is too much for most, especially, the poor, the youth and refugees.
- Church and ministry leaders in Africa are recognizing that without Bibles in the hands of a believer, Kingdom growth is thwarted.
- The Africa Bible Project is fervently praying for provision to make this possible as soon as possible through the 1,000,000 Bible Project for Africa.
- You can be a part of this victory for Jesus. We are praying for His name to be glorified in every village and home in Africa.

How are Bibles distributed?

Bibles in the language requested by the individual are printed in China, S. Korea or Brazil and shipped in containers containing from 10,000 to 20,000 Bibles depending on the language and the size of the Bible.
In country, our ministry partners hand deliver each Bible into the hand of one thirsty for God's Word.
Based on feedback from pastors and ministry leaders in 2017 and tested in 2018, we asked for a donation of 2,500 shillings for each Bible donated. The culture has been taught that a hand out is something you should take, even if you don't need it. After the test in 2018, pastors and ministry leaders said the donation should be increased to 5,000 shillings which we did in 2019.
The donations for the Bibles is now used to assist in traveling across Uganda to deliver Bibles - hotel room and meals. One day we envision hiring regional coordinators in far off places to assist in covering the country with Bibles.
When the rural poor digs into their pocket, they are making a commitment to use it. Plus, it ensures that someone wanting to resell the Bible, which costs at least 30,000 shillings, will not be as tempted to resell the Bible, which is not our intent...because of our relationship to our partner, the Bible Society of Uganda. Some of our Bibles are sold for 50,000 or more shillings because of the language or because it is a large diglot Bible (a Bible with one column the local language and the other column English.)
To ensure accountability, each recipient of a Bible is required to sign for the Bible, indicate their church and provide their phone number. We randomly call each person and also speak with each pastor to get feedback on how the Bible is being used.
_______
You can provide one thirsty souls with a Bible for as little as $6.
