"We reduced the number of meals we have as a family. The children are complaining."

​April 15, 2020 - "we are out of the pan to the fireplace!"

"Only they asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do." Galatians 2:10

Here are a few voices that I heard from today from Uganda. As the country extends its lockdown for another three weeks. 

"We are elevated from the pan to the fireplace!" 

"Despair, anxiety and uncertainty loom in people's hearts! The ordinary Ugandan in the village does not understand what exactly this is! What is this invisible enemy which makes us wash up with soap and keep us indoors? People don't have basic requirements for the big families that they have." 

"It's tough. We are sending prayers and encouragements to them and pleading with them to stay safe and wait for God's hand of intervention. Please pray with us."

"They are arresting them in the city centers." (Only essential work and travel)

"We are reducing on the number of meals that we have as a family and the children are complaining."  (This pastor is down to one meal per day. Food shortages has driven up the cost of meals.)

"In has come the crooks into the marketplace to sell food and they are skyrocketing the prices." 

"We are singing to our children to make them sleep when we are nearing former dinner time as we have nothing to feed them." 

WHAT CAN YOU DO?
- Pray for God's provision for His people here and in Africa.

- If you can afford it and are led to donate, $1 feeds one person for two meals each day. A family of ten would need $10. To feed a family of 10 for the next three weeks would cost $210. The funds will go to selected pastors involved in Bible distribution to distribute as they see fit based on the need.
